Craft Show Setup

Some of you will know that I recently participated in a local craft show (a small open house event with 16 vendors).  I hadn't done any shows in over two years so it was the perfect way to get my feet wet and gain the confidence I needed.

Most of the events here in VA are juried and require four photos for submission with an application (2 of your work, 1 of you creating your work and one of your booth setup).

Since I hadn't done a show in such a long time (and didn't manage to get good pictures at the open house) I didn't have any relevant photos that I could use.

So this weekend my husband and I took on the task of setting everything up just to get some snapshots.  It was a lot of work but at least now I have some photos that I can use for upcoming events.

All that remains is for me to get my application off in the the mail  so that I can be considered for a show this coming March.  Fingers crossed that I make it through the selection process.

What fun things did you get up to this weekend?

Oh and don't forget to stop by my GIVEAWAY for your last chance to win a natural soy candle.

  2. Good morning!
Love the pictures. Your husband is as sweet as mine...to set up and take photos just to see what it looks like before a show...it's alot of work for sure. Your booth setup looks great. Fingers crossed for you too.

This past weekend....tidied up house, got guest room ready for company, made butternut squash soup and froze that, printed holiday cards for family and ran errands.
    Have a great day.

  3. This weekend I had one show and spent Sunday getting the house ready for hosting Thanksgiving dinner.

Good luck with your show submissions - your photos look great. I took some pics at recent shows, but they didn't come out too well (the lighting is always crazy). So I might do a mock set up as well to submit for next year's shows.

  4. Kathy, hope the show went well. Just been out today to get some food in for Thanksgiving. We're supposed to be having visitors this year so I thought I'd better pull my finger out.
